14th OVI / 3rd Arkansas Civil War Reenactors
School/Group Talks Page
The 14th OVI / 3rd Arkansas is proud to offer school talks to the local children in the community. We also participate in several group talks during the year for various organizations including: Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and area historical societies. Several of our members perform the talks for a nominal donation to our nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. All proceeds from the talks go directly to preservation and or restoration of our Civil War heritage. Our unit has donated over $30,000 to preservation efforts over the last several years. We are proud of our efforts which rank at the top in the reenacting community. Evergreen Elementary, Timberstone Junior High (Sylvania Schools), Arbor Hills Junior High (Sylvania Schools),  Otsego Middle School, Oak Harbor Junior High, Washington Junior School (Washington Local), and Monroeville are just some of the many local schools that participated in our talks during the 2005-2006 school year. We were able to EDUCATE and ENTERTAIN over 1600 local school children this past year. We can do either small talks with just one member or larger talks with six or more reenactors. Please contact Cap'n Rob Morgan or our President (Mark Young) for more information.
