December Wildwood Event 2004
December Wildwood Event 2004

The Winter Wildwood Event was attended by the following members: Dave, Kristi, Krystal and Mark Harms, Joe Lewis, Rich Exner, Jan Bain, Brandi and Karen Oswald, Alicia and Terry Steffen, Bob and Josh Minton, John Molitoris, Mark, Bud and Michelle Young, Paul Grogan, and Mike Belair.  We did have a half dozen or so camp out on Saturday night.  We had decent weather for this time of year.  The snow/sleet, wind held off til morning.  Of course we all ended up sharing spots right around the fire and kept it cranked most of the night.   The morning was laid back.  Most people cooked breakfast fairly early.  After breakfast, some members went to the Manor house and also checked out the school house which we camped next to.  Others stayed in camp and tried to decorate the Christmas tree.  They did so by stringing cranberries, throwing hardtack on, and hanging up snowflakes.  This was a rather difficult task due to the wind.  We didn't get a lot of spectators to come through camp but those that did, we were able to have excellent conversation with.  Many spectators looked and pointed from the distance but it was just a bit to nasty outside for them to come over.  Throughout the day, we were able to enjoy hot cider and snacks brought by the Harm's.  We also must thank Mark Young for getting permission for us to camp and bringing the Christmas tree. This event has real potential to be a great event.  Again thanks to all that made it out.
